Development of Pressure Sensors with Digital Interfaces
DDM Sensors specializes in the development of miniaturized pressure sensors and offers digital interfaces including IO-Link, Modbus RTU, CAN bus, and I²C for custom pressure sensor configurations:
IO-Link Pressure Sensors
Our IO-Link pressure sensors enable the transmission of process and diagnostic data as well as parameterization directly during operation, such as adjusting the measuring range. During development, we define customer-specific cycle times to optimally match performance to your application. Integration is simplified through standardized IODD files (IO-Link Device Description), which contain all necessary control information.
Modbus RTU Pressure Sensors
As an established and widespread fieldbus protocol, Modbus RTU enables the addressing and operation of multiple sensors on a single bus. Communication is based on the robust serial RS-485 standard, ensuring reliable data transmission even over longer distances. Our DDM implementation is engineered for maximum reliability and compatibility, with update rates flexibly adaptable to the dynamics of your measurement task.
CAN Bus Pressure Sensors
Thanks to high transmission rates and real-time capabilities, the CAN bus is the ideal interface for dynamic applications, particularly in mobile machinery, commercial vehicles, and the automotive sector. DDM Sensors’ pressure sensors support standardized CANopen and J1939 protocols to ensure broad compatibility. CAN ID, update rate, and baud rate are fully configurable and can be seamlessly optimized for bus load and application requirements.
I²C Pressure Sensors
The I²C interface is ideal for the direct PCB-level integration of our pressure sensors into OEM applications. It enables sufficient data rates for board-to-board communication over short transmission distances with minimal wiring effort (two lines). Leveraging our embedded systems expertise, we realize compact, highly integrated solutions that embed directly into your electronics.
