Which gases are the media-contacting parts of the pressure sensors compatible with?

DThe media-contacting parts of the pressure sensors are basically compatible with all gases that are resistant to 316L stainless steel (material numbers 1.4404 and 1.4435), e.g.

  • Nitrogen
  • Flammable gases such as methane, ethane, propane, and butane
  • Ammoniak

For applications with particularly aggressive media, we refer to our specialized range of pressure sensors for aggressive gases.

Performance features of DDM gas pressure sensors in detail

The essential performance features of our pressure sensors for gas applications in detail.

Precision and long-term stability for reliable measurement results

Our sensors guarantee high measurement accuracy and repeatability, even when detecting very low pressures. Integrated temperature compensation ensures stable measured values over wide temperature ranges, which range from 0 to 60 °C, over -20 to 80 °C up to special ranges from -40 to 150 °C; the PV10 model can even be used for media temperatures up to 180 °C. The exceptional long-term stability of the sensor signal of typically +/-0.1 % FS per year minimizes the calibration effort. Calibration cycles can thus be extended.

Miniaturized design with minimal internal volume

The compact design allows easy integration into systems with limited space, while the robust stainless steel housings ensure high resistance despite the small dimensions. The extremely low internal dead volume is ideal for applications with high-purity gases or rapid gas changes, such as those found in analytical technology. The volume can be adjusted to customer requirements, and customer-specific pressure sensors with flush diaphragm can also be realized on request.

Highest material compatibility for various gases

Only media-resistant materials such as 316L stainless steel (1.4404 and 1.4435) or titanium on request are used for the media-contacting parts. This ensures suitability for a variety of gases, from inert gases such as nitrogen and argon to special pure gases.
