The JUMO flowTRANS US W01 ultrasonic flowmeter enables reliable and precise measurement of the volume flow of conductive and non-conductive liquids. Thanks to the proven ultrasonic transit time method, flow measurement is wear-free and without moving parts, making the sensor particularly low-maintenance and durable.
The device is ideal for industrial applications such as water treatment, cooling circuits, reverse osmosis, or wastewater systems. Thanks to its metal-free housing, the flowmeter is also suitable for corrosive environments.
The sensor is integrated directly inline into the pipeline and can be installed quickly and easily thanks to its G external thread with integrated seal. The measured values can be transmitted to a PLC or a higher-level process control system via an analog or pulse output.
Advantages of the ultrasonic flow meter
- Wear-free measurement without moving parts
- Suitable for conductive and non-conductive liquids
- High measurement accuracy for water-like media
- Metal-free housing – ideal for corrosive media
- Easy installation thanks to inline design
- Analog and pulse output for connection to control systems
- LED status display for quick operation monitoring
Typical areas of application
- Water treatment
- Reverse osmosis systems
- Seawater desalination
- Washing water recovery
- Cooling circuits and cooling towers
- Industrial and process plants
Functional principle of ultrasonic flow measurement
The flow meter operates according to the time-of-flight difference method. Two ultrasonic sensors transmit sound pulses through the medium—once in the direction of flow and once against the direction of flow.
When the medium flows, the transit time of the sound waves changes. The average flow velocity is calculated from this transit time difference, and the volume flow is determined from this. This measuring principle enables precise and maintenance-free flow measurement even with varying flow rates.
